Meet Our Staff
Our staff is very proud of their accomplishment in meeting the stringent requirements of becoming an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Accredited Practice. Only 12 percent of all small animal veterinary practices in the U.S. have achieved AAHA accreditation.
Continuing education is one of the standards we set for all of our employees. We hold twice monthly in house education sessions, send staffers to education seminars several times a year and have them share their education experience with the other staff members.
Mary Fondren, DVM,
Veterinarian,Hospital Director
Graduating from NCSU, I’ve lived and practiced small animal veterinary in Palm Beach County since 1987. I’ve owned my award-winning Fondren Pet Care Center since 1997. I strive to stay abreast of the newest medical information by going well beyond the required continuing education hours and enjoy the challenge of new technologies.
I have a special interest in dermatology (skin), Ophthalmology (eyes), and dentistry. I am a member in good standing of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), Palm Beach County Veterinary Society (PBCVS), American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), Veterinary Surgical Laser Society (VSLS), American Heartworm Society (AHS), American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS).
My hobbies include spending pool time with my dogs and husband, playing with my wild, destructive cats, reading, photography, and going out to dinner.

I was born and raised in Palm Beach Gardens and currently reside in Jupiter. When I was eight years old I began working with horses and realized my love for animals. I joined Fondren Pet Care Center in June of 2004 as a Kennel Technician and have since been promoted to Veterinarian Assistant. I am currently going to school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT). When I am not working or doing homework I enjoy boating, fishing, snorkeling, going out to Moroso Motorsports Park and having good times with good people.
- UPDATE- Ashely has passed both her Veterinary Technician National Exam and the Florida Practical Exam. She is now a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT).

I was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts and I resided in Lakeville. I relocated to Florida in 1999 where I started my career in the animal field. I worked as a Zoo Keeper in the Education Department at the Zoo in Naples where I worked with various exotic animals. In 2001 I moved to Lake Worth and I am now a part of the Fondren Pet Care Family. I can always be found hanging around with my daughter Tiffany, husband Brian and of course my 10 year old wire-haired mini-dachshund Meghann.

I was born and raised in Palm Beach County and am currently taking classes at Palm Beach Community College. I started working at Fondren Pet Care in May 2008 and my favorite part of my job is being able to pet and play with everyone's animals. This is my first job in the veterinary field and I am learning new things every day. When I am not working or doing school work, you can find me at the beach or playing with my dog, Cabo.
